Granblue Fantasy: Versus Physical and Digital Special Editions Detailed

Granblue Fantasy: Versus, developed by renowned fighting game dev Arc System Works (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue) will be arriving Q1 2020 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Today, a deeper dive has been revealed into what is to be expected from the special editions of the game, both physical and digital.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a 2.5D fighting game with stunning visuals by Hideo Minaba (who has famously worked on the Final Fantasy series) serving as art director. The series began as a mobile game, and is now making the leap to consoles with the help of mobile game publisher Cygames.

All editions of Versus will include a code for the original Granblue Fantasy game for the web browsers and mobile versions.

For the physical crowd, there is the Premium Physical Edition which will only be available through the Marvelous Games Store and contains:

• Physical copy of Granblue Fantasy: Versus for the PlayStation 4
• Code to redeem Gold Brick (1), Sunlight Stone (1), Sephira Evolite (1) and Damascus Crystal (10) within the original Granblue Fantasy game
• Code to redeem Character Colours Pack as well as the PlayStation 4 Avatar and Theme Set
• A Soundtrack CD
• Art Book
• Premium Box with an exclusive Illustration

There are two separate digital editions, with not much to differentiate, but it is nice to see that if you spring for either version, you won’t have to later figure out the cost of the character pass which is said to include five additional characters. Both of these editions will be available through the PlayStation Store.
